High-Level Career Support
NPs have many career paths to choose from and with an ever-changing healthcare environment, they will undoubtedly continue to proliferate. The profession is continually impacted by changes in legislation, the health insurance industry, professional compensation, evaluation, malpractice, and CE requirements. In this changing environment, NPACE seeks to help NPs continue to thrive personally and professionally while supporting their primary goal of improved practice outcomes and individual ambitions. We will keep these issues in the forefront as we plan future program offerings.
NPACE Policy Work
While not NPACE’s primary focus, we believe in promoting the advancement of the NP role through health policy. We support initiatives that advance the NP profession and strive to assist NPs as they work toward independent practice authority, appropriate preceptor and residency requirements; guidelines and policy initiatives.
Humanitarian Initiatives
Our Global Health and Disaster Planning Initiative is aimed at equipping NPs with the knowledge and training required to be ready for response when the need arises, either at home or on a medical mission. As a healthcare professional, when a humanitarian disaster happens, you may be expected to diagnose and treat with fewer resources. Our training conferences include table top simulations led by experts who have experienced first hand the impact of disasters and the changing world of Global Health.
We are also working with other nonprofit partners to help NPs find recognized, vetted opportunities to which they may offer services to victims of health, natural and environmental disasters. When the day comes, NPACE wants to be certain that NPs are prepared for intervention and know who to contact to volunteer.
